His work in Bollywood has garnered him numerous achievements, including fourteen Filmfare Awards from thirty nominations. His eighth Filmfare Best Actor Award win put him in a tie for the most in that category. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2005, while the Government of France awarded him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2007 and later in 2014, the Légion d'honneur, their highest civilian award for his contribution to films. He was named the second richest actor in the world in 2014, with a net worth of $600 million.

Shah Rukh gifts 12 lakh motor bike to Abhishek

Super star Shah Rukh Khan has gifted a motor cycle worth Rs 12.5 lakh to co-star Abhishek Bachchan in Happy New Year flick. On Valentine's Day SRK had gifted his wife with a costly sedam car. He is obviously in a generous mood these days.

Abhishek was pleasantly surprised when a bike, a coveted model was delivered to his Juhu bungalow.

The two had worked together in Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in 2006. But their rapport had hit a rough patch and SRK and Gauri were not invited to the Abhi-Ash wedding in 2007. SRK's relationship with Aishwarya had soured after he dropped her from his home production Chalte Chalte. However, K Jo bought Ash and SRK together at his birthday party in 2011 and both decided to put aside their differences and make a fresh start.

Later, the ice between Abhishek and SRK was broken at photographer Daboo Ratnani's party to launch his 2012 calendar. However the two actors have really bonded during the making of Happy New Year.

A friend of Shah Rukh told, "Shah Rukh is in a very happy place these days. After the success of Chennai Express, he hasn't stopped smiling. His on-going film too is making brisk progress."

Meanwhile, Bachchan Jr is getting ready to zip-zap-zoom in the Juhu lanes during the weekends.

SRK sends flight passengers into a tizzy

Passengers on Mumbai bound flight from Malaysia went ballistic when informed about the star's presence. Here's what happened on the flight

On his way back to Mumbai from Malaysia, where he performed as part of the 'Temptation Reloaded' tour, Shah Rukh Khan was in for some more fan love. When it was announced on the flight that SRK was aboard, fans were gripped by an unparalleled frenzy.

Says passenger Rohit Nag, who was on the same flight as SRK, `When I checked-in, I could see that the Malaysian airline staff was really excited. The pilot too was over the moon about flying SRK. Not only did the airhostess welcome the star, but the pilot went on to announce that SRK was on board. After that it was absolute mayhem.`

Nag adds that celeb-struck passengers went on to scream his name, hoping that Shah Rukh would wave at them. Some people also tried to approach him as they wanted him to sign autographs for them and get him to pose for pictures. Another passenger says that after a point, the staff found it difficult to control the crowd surrounding the star.
`Fifteen minutes after the take-off, all hell broke loose as everyone wanted to see SRK. It then became difficult for the staff to manage the crowd. In fact, food was served a little late because his fans didn't want to be seated and they continued to hover around SRK,` says this passenger.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who took to the stage in Kuala Lampur for his Temptation Reloaded tour, was overwhelmed with the love that he received from his fans there.

`Malaysia, you will be missed. The best two days I have had inspite of the injury. The love made it possible. Thank you,` SRK, who is recovering from the injury he recently sustained on the sets of `Happy New Year`, tweeted Monday.

His former co-stars Madhuri Dixit and Rani Mukerji along with singer Arijit Singh and rapper-music composer Yo Yo Honey Singh also performed at the Temptation Reloaded 2014 concert in Malaysia.
