Ayushmann Khurrana to replace Varun Dhawan?

The controversial role in 'Milan Talkies' may now go to Ayushmann

On December 13, HitList had reported that Varun Dhawan had walked out of Milan Talkies and now if sources are to be believed, Ayushmann Khurrana is now being considered for the lead role.
This upcoming drama is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and has Ekta Kapoor as the producer.
It would be interesting to note that first Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor opted out of this film, after which there were talks about Imran Khan featuring in it. However, this too didn’t happen as the actor was miffed over the controversy that erupted after the release of their film Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara. Soon after, Varun was considered for the role and then he walked out of the project as well.
The leading lady for the film is also yet to be finalised. Many actresses have been approached so far but nothing seems to have materialised. The film is expected to go on the floors in a few months’ time.
When contacted, Balaji CEO Tanuj Garg said that no one has been signed yet. “Various names are under consideration right now; we will make an announcement once things are finalised,” he said.

Ayushmann Khurrana to do ‘Milan Talkies’?

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been approached for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Milan Talkies’.

There is a buzz that Ayushmann, 29, has been signed for the film, to be produced by Ekta Kapoor, and it is expected to go on the floors in a few months.

“The talks are still on but nothing is finalised yet as to whether he will do the film or not,” sources close to the actor told PTI.

The film was earlier supposed to star Imran Khan but later Shahid Kapoor’s name cropped up due to the alleged differences between Imran and Ekta over the marketing of ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’. The rift widened so much that Imran was replaced by Shahid, who too declined the film.

Several names are coming up even for the leading lady of the film, including Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor and others.

Tigmanshu Dhulia is set to explore the complexities of a small town romance in ‘Milan Talkies’.
