Ever since Aditya Roy Kapoor replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in a film, they have apparently maintained a distance
Grapevine has it that there is a cold war raging between Aditya Roy
Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput. If sources are to be believed, the two
actors - who recently shot next to each other in the same studio - are
not on talking terms at all.
The source adds that this animosity stems from the fact that Aditya
replaced Sushant in Abhishek Kapoor's film, Fitoor. `It is known that
Sushant didn't exit from his mentor's film on a cordial note and that
the actor opted out of Fitoor to accommodate Shekhar Kapur's film,
Paani.
This didn't go down well with Kapoor and Disney UTV,` says the source,
adding that Aditya, who also happens to be the brother of Disney UTV
head, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, then replaced Sushant.
It is said that tensions between the two actors became obvious when they
refused to acknowledge each other, despite shooting for two Yashraj
films in the vicinity.
`Sushant was busy with his workshops for Byomkesh Bakshi and Aditya had
started shooting for Daawat-e-Ishq. After a while, the latter made the
first move by greeting Sushant when he ran into him. But Sushant snubbed
him,` says the source. It is also being rumoured that Sushant couldn't
stomach the fact that Aditya was asked to appear on a popular talk show,
while he wasn't.
